Landing bay matte painting I did for the TV series Halo: Nightfall.
The vfx supervisor set up the angle of the shot and provided a 3D render from NUKE for perspective reference. I used reference photos of the interior of the film studio/warehouse to build the painting, with a lot of work involved correcting and repainting the perspective. The ceiling was mapped onto basic geometry in Nuke and animated to open.
