The Mumakil - The Two Towers

I was the texture painter for the Mumakil. We used elephant skin for reference, carefully getting the scale right so it didn't look like we took a normal sized elephant and simply enlarged it. While you cant see it I spent time working out where the skin would have been rubbed smooth where the towers attach.

For the Haradrim massive agents riding on the mumakil, someone has already painted their faces, but in the original renders they looked too pink. I checked the texture maps and whoever painted them had used someone with pale skin, blue eyes and ginger hair - not the darker skinned North African look they were supposed to be. As I've got brown eyes and a good tan, I replaced the face with my own - so I'm effectively every single digital Haradrim warrior in the films.
